Client Overview:

Our client is a multinational consumer goods company focused on producing and distributing a diverse range of food, home, and personal care products globally. They are currently looking to add a Quality Lab Technician – 2nd Shift to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$20/hr – $22/hr (Based on experience)

Position Overview:

The Quality Lab Technician – 2nd Shift will be part of the Quality department, responsible for performing physical and basic chemical testing on products and ingredients. The ideal candidate for this position would be enthusiastic about securing a long-term and stable position and is committed to contributing their skills and dedication for years ahead. The Quality Lab Technician will work on the 2nd shift, from 2 pm to 10 pm.

Responsibilities of the Quality Lab Technician – 2nd Shift:

• Calibrate, maintain, and operate lab instrumentation to ensure accuracy in testing.
• Perform routine and non-routine laboratory tests, including moisture, color, fat, and pH.
• Maintain a comprehensive inventory of samples and ensure proper labeling and storage.
• Identify, document, and report any inconsistencies or abnormalities in products.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to ISO, GMP, and other safety standards.
• Assist with audits, Out-of-Spec (OOS) investigations, and complete necessary quality documentation.
• Conduct both quantitative and qualitative analyses on a variety of products and ingredients.
• Assist with production processes to ensure compliance with key quality parameters, product specifications, and regulatory guidelines.
• Work with plant personnel on quality protocols to promote safe, efficient, and cost-effective production.
• Conduct and document sanitation and safety audits, and participate in the plant’s safety committee to uphold safety, health, and environmental policies.

Qualifications for the Quality Lab Technician – 2nd Shift:

• Academic research, internships, or co-op experience is highly preferred.
• A positive energy, enthusiasm for lab work, and strong communication skills.
• A passion for working hard and being an active team member.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or a related field.
