Our client is an established biotechnology company that develops immunotherapies to treat cancer and other autoimmune diseases. They are looking to add a highly motivated Scientist with strong protein purification skills to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$115,000 – $130,000

Position Overview:

The Scientist will handle protein purification, qualification and expression experiments. The Scientist perform protein purification and characterization using ion exchange chromatography, FPLC, HPLC, DSC, SDS-PAGE, DSF and SEC.

Responsibilities of the Scientist:

  • Design and execute biochemical assays
  • Maintain mammalian cell and tissue cultures, ensuring aseptic technique
  • Analyze experimental data, draw conclusions, and design follow up experiments to support project and company goals
  • Communicate findings clearly through written reports and oral presentations to various teams
  • Work collaboratively with team members to troubleshoot issues and meet team goals
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results

Qualifications for the Scientist:

  • Experience with protein purification in industry
  • Mammalian cell culture expertise
  • Strong knowledge of assays and equipment including FPLC, HPLC, SDS-PAGE
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Ability to interpret data and present findings
  • Should be a team player and be willing to help in the lab wherever necessary
  • Knowledge of Benching is preferred

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical science or related science and 7+ years of experience in industry
  • PhD with 2+ years in industry
