Our client is an innovative personal care manufacturer. They are seeking an experience Production Mechanic to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$25 – $35/hr depending on experience

Position Overview:

The Production Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of production equipment, ensuring successful operation while controlling downtime. The Production Mechanic should have a background in manufacturing environments with knowledge of various machines and tools, both mechanical and electrical.

Responsibilities of the Production Mechanic:

  • Oversee equipment, parts, and supply inventories by monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying deliveries
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues by observing equipment in use, listening for irregularities, and employing specialized tools for precise diagnostics
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on machinery, production machines, and conveyor systems to ensure optimal operation
  • Support a clean and safe working environment by following safety protocols and maintaining organization within the workspace
  • Educate production teams on preventive maintenance methods and ensure proper adherence to reduce downtime
  • Disassemble malfunctioning equipment to replace faulty parts, using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and inspecting parts for damage
  • Follow all GMP, SOP, and safety guidelines consistently in daily tasks
  • Participate in required training sessions related to safety, GMP, and other company programs

Qualifications for the Production Mechanic:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience repairing and diagnosing plant production equipment

Education Requirements:

  • 2 year Technical School is ideal
