Our client is a global ingredients developer supporting industries including food, beverages, fragrances, biosciences, and health. They are looking to add a Maintenance Mechanic (2nd or 3rd Shift) to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$31/hr – $34/hr Depending on the level of experience
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Mechanic (2nd or 3rd shift) will be responsible for plumbing, pumps, motors, and general facility repairs. The Maintenance Mechanic (2nd or 3rd Shift) should have at least two years of experience working in a manufacturing or laboratory/educational environment and demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to respond promptly to issues and emergencies.
Responsibilities for the Maintenance Mechanic (2nd or 3rd Shift):
- Execute planned preventative maintenance tasks, along with both scheduled and unscheduled repairs, and provide project support.
- Assess mechanical and electrical equipment and systems to identify malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
- Diagnose issues and perform maintenance on PLCs and VSDs.
- Process documentation, such as completing work orders and identifying parts for reordering.
- Determine necessary replacement parts and communicate these needs to the Supervisor.
- Conduct post-repair tests and record the results.
- Address emergency situations and report to the Supervisor as needed.
- Adhere to company safety and environmental regulations.
- Participate in regular training sessions and safety meetings.
Qualifications for the Maintenance Mechanic (2nd or 3rd Shift):
- Over 2 years of experience working with electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs.
- Experience with conveyors, pumps, minor welding, conveyors, pipe fitting, motor-controlled circuits, etc. is preferred.
- Able to work the 2nd or 3rd shift and train on the 1st shift.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED is required.
