Client Overview:

Our client is a forward-thinking fashion brand dedicated to creating sophisticated, innovative, and timeless designs for men’s and women’s apparel and accessories. We are currently seeking a talented and creative Woven Designer to join the women’s Design team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$32/hr – $36/hr

Position Overview:

As a Woven Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the seasonal collections by designing beautiful woven fabrics and garments that embody the brand’s aesthetic and vision. You will work closely with the Design, Production, and Merchandising teams to develop unique woven pieces that align with the latest trends while maintaining a focus on craftsmanship and quality.

Responsibilities of the Woven Designer:

  • Develop original and innovative woven designs for women’s collections, ensuring that they align with the brand’s vision and seasonal themes.
  • Create mood boards, color palettes, and fabrications that inspire the design process.
  • Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for woven garments.
  • Collaborate with fabric suppliers to source high-quality materials and oversee sampling processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with fabric trends, techniques, and technology to ensure designs remain fresh and forward-thinking.
  • Participate in fitting sessions and work closely with the pattern-making team to ensure designs are executed flawlessly.

Qualifications of the Woven Designer:

  • Proven experience in women’s woven design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in woven textiles and garment construction.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD software for design.
  • Strong understanding of fabrications, prints, and color theory.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present and explain design concepts to internal teams.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
