Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing company specializing in HVAC services. Their mission is to deliver top-tier HVAC solutions while maintaining a strong focus on exceptional customer service. As they continue to expand, they are looking for a motivated and experienced Sales and Development Director to join their team and help drive the success of their door-to-door sales division.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$65,000 – $75,000 plus bonus
Position Overview:
The Sales and Development Director will play a key role in building and leading our door-to-door sales team, ensuring that they receive comprehensive training and are equipped with the tools and skills necessary for success. This Sales and Development Director position will work closely with the Chief Sales Officer and collaborate with five Regional Managers to develop training strategies, enhance sales performance, and monitor the success of sales campaigns. HVAC experience is a plus, as it will help in delivering effective training content and understanding the industry.
Responsibilities of the Sales and Development Director:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for door-to-door sales teams
- Work closely with the Chief Sales Officer and Regional Managers to identify training needs and ensure alignment with overall sales goals
- Conduct regular training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching to ensure continuous development of sales staff
- Evaluate sales team performance, provide feedback, and implement strategies for improvement
- Assist in the creation of sales scripts, materials, and resources that will aid in team development
- Monitor and track the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as necessary
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HVAC products and services to ensure accurate and relevant training content
- Provide support for sales events and promotional initiatives, ensuring team readiness and success
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment that encourages professional growth
Qualifications for the Sales and Development Director:
- Proven experience in sales, with a strong background in training or sales development, preferably in door-to-door sales
- HVAC industry experience is a plus but not required
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a passion for team development
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including the Chief Sales Officer and Regional Managers
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess performance and create actionable training programs to address gaps
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus
