Our client, a world-leading humanitarian and security organization, is focused on assisting those who have been inflicted by crises internationally and helping them rebuild and restore their lives. They are looking to add a Caseworker to their team.

Position Overview:

In order to facilitate a successful resettlement process and the attainment of client self-sufficiency, the Caseworker offers trauma-informed assistance to refugees and other eligible immigrants. In accordance with client eligibility and program regulations, the Caseworker uses a wide range of financial, medical, social, vocational, and other services and resources to carry out activities that satisfy each client’s needs and preferences. In order to promote a successful resettlement experience and the attainment of client self-sufficiency, the Caseworker offers trauma-informed assistance to refugees and other eligible immigrants. Using a wide range of financial, medical, social, vocational, and other services and resources in accordance with client eligibility and program requirements, the Caseworker collaborates closely with clients, coworkers, and outside parties to create service and/or self-sufficiency plans that satisfy each client’s unique needs and preferences.

Responsibilities of the Caseworker:

  • Organize prompt pre-arrival and post-arrival services to guarantee that every client has access to basic necessities like food, shelter, healthcare, and transportation, as well as is acclimated to their new surroundings.
  • Assess clients’ needs by conducting intake services.
  • Together with each client, create strategies and schedules for self-sufficiency.
  • Offer tailored assistance via advocacy, referrals, and direct services.
  • Evaluate and track client progress to help them achieve their goals, deal with obstacles, and make sure that resources are being used.
  • Describe every client encounter in compliance with the program’s specifications.
  • Enter client data into the database or databases and help with reporting and tracking as required.
  • Effectively cooperate with partner organizations and coworkers.
  • Establish and preserve connections with local service providers for the benefit of your customers.
  • When necessary, travel and move clients and materials throughout the service delivery region using your own, insured car or, if available, public transit.
  • Occasionally instruct and oversee the work of interns and volunteers.
  • Additional tasks as delegated.

Qualifications for the Caseworker:

  • Relevant professional experience in the human services field is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations is strongly preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building, diplomacy, and networking skills. Ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in the language(s) spoken by the company’s clients is desired, including Dari, Farsi, and/or Pashto.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field of study is preferred, but not required.
