Our client is a well-established and highly respected organization in the healthcare product and services industry. They are actively looking to bring on a new Procurement Manager.

Salary/Rate:

$50-55 per hour. 

Position Overview:

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing procurement and sourcing—maintaining vendor relationships including tracking and analysis. The ideal candidate for this position is a hard worker, multi-tasker, organized and dedicated to meeting deadlines, and has experience taking on management duties.

Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager:

  • Apply spend analytics best practices and do frequent deep dives in the assigned categories.
  • Monitor energy costs and identify opportunities for cost savings or optimization. The procurement manager will work closely with finance, plant leaders and sustainability organizations to develop budgets, track expenses, and report on energy procurement performance. Follow the Global Procurement governance in all projects, CRMC (Contract Risk Management Committee) approvals, eSourcing tools, Supplier Code of Conduct sign off, etc.
  • Support to evaluate and recommend technologies or practices based on the business priorities.
  • Follow Stakeholder engagement best practices to better understand the business needs and align on resources and priorities.
  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with key vendors. They will ensure compliance with contractual terms, monitor supplier performance, and resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and sustainability initiatives. Support to evaluate and recommend technologies or practices based on the business priorities.
  • Stay updated with industry developments and best practices to effectively manage the organization’s energy procurement strategy.

Qualifications of the Procurement Manager:

  • 5-10 years in the Supply Chain. 
  • Min 5 years in Procurement.
  • Strong cross functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong business analysis.
  • Able to use business tools and information systems when solving problems and making decisions.
  • Able to use data to support recommendations.
  • Possess good understanding of capital buying procedures.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Planning and anticipation, demonstrates professionalism in all business settings and shows ability to control emotions, mannerisms, and communication style.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain and/or Finance related field.
