Our client is a primary care and specialty care healthcare company seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join their primary care team in Berkeley Heights, NJ.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50-$60 per hour, DOE.

Position Overview:

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in coordinating patient care and providing support to our physicians and patients. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering top-notch patient care

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse:

  • Assist the physician and staff with the daily coordination of patient care and physician access.
  • Function as the liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow and deliver direct patient care within the scope of licensure and in accordance with Summit Health policy.
  • Collect and label lab specimens accurately and prioritize patient care by implementing physician orders and nursing procedures.
  • Ensure proper preparation for patient visits by preparing pertinent information needed for each appointment.
  • Effectively communicate problems, concerns, or issues to the Office Supervisor/Manager appropriately and promptly.
  • Accurately document patient care and administer medications according to appropriate protocol.
  • Schedule appointments accurately and adhere to universal safety precautions when administering medications and disposing of medical waste.
  • Review and update medication lists, manage prescription control and refill procedures, and document known allergies in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Facilitate the transition of care to the Urgent Care Center  or hospital when required.
  • Maintain proficiency with department-specific equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly.

Qualifications of the Registered Nurse:

  • 0-1 year(s) of experience; 2-4 years preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform diverse work assignments with time limitations and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Problem-solving, critical thinking, and priority-setting skills.
  • Experience with patient care equipment and EHR, Practice Management System, and Departmental/Ancillary Systems preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Valid New Jersey State Nursing License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
