Our client, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization is looking for a motivated Grant Writer/Compliance Specialist to join their team at their Sarasota, Florida headquarters. Position Overview:

The Grant Writer/Compliance Specialist plays a key role in researching, securing, and managing grants to support organizational objectives, ensuring compliance throughout the entire process from application to reporting. This position collaborates closely with program and finance teams to enhance resource development, track performance metrics, and maintain grant-related compliance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication and analytical skills, along with expertise in grant funding regulations, project management, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities of the Grant Writer/Compliance Specialist:

  • Identify and research available grant opportunities, including eligibility criteria and funding requirements.
  • Collaborate with Administrative Managers to evaluate potential funding sources.
  • Gather and compile the necessary information for grant applications through team collaboration, database research, and fact-finding efforts.
  • Draft, review, and submit grant applications following specified guidelines and deadlines.
  • Ensure all required documents, forms, and reports related to grants are accurately completed and submitted on time.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating grant-funded programs and projects to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Support resource development initiatives, quality assurance efforts, and grant-related compliance activities.
  • Maintain grant databases, track application statuses, and manage reporting requirements.
  • Provide training on grant processes and compliance standards.
  • Represent the organization at public funding meetings and networking events.

Qualifications for the Grant Writer/Compliance Specialist:

  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in grant funding policies, project management, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
