Client Overview:
Our client is a prestigious and well-known university looking for a Procurement Contracts Specialist to join their Procurement team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$35/hr
Position Overview:
The Procurement Contracts Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts, from negotiation to execution and renewal. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities of the Procurement Contracts Specialist:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, client contracts, and NDAs.
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand contract requirements and provide guidance on contractual matters.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts and related documentation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of contract management processes and policies.
- Provide training and support to staff on contract-related matters.
Required Experience/Skills for the Procurement Contracts Specialist:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract management or a paralegal position.
- Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Procurement Contracts Specialist:
- Experience in higher education or law is a huge plus.
- Familiarity with international contract law and regulations.
- Certification in contract management (e.g., CPCM, CCCM).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field is required.
