Client Overview:
Our client is one of New York’s finest contemporary fashion brands. This exciting, fast-growing company is looking for a talented Freelance Production/Product Development Associate to work in their New York offices!
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr – $28/hr Depending on experience
Position Overview:
The Freelance Production/Product Development Associate will be working closely with the Design team. The Freelance Production/Product Development Associate will act as a liaison between the vendors and Design and Production teams with the order status of merchandise. They will be the main support of the PD team.
Responsibilities of the Freelance Production/Product Development Associate:
- Update relevant information in systems including color, costing details, and sourcing.
- Assist with BOMs and update appropriate cost sheets.
- Ensure sampling activities are up-to-date at all times according to the development calendar.
- Check, log, and distribute samples including all proto samples.
- Monitor, track, and report on all requested prototypes.
- Organize all samples in the PD closet.
- Assist the Manager in the pre-production process by turning specs into Production specs.
Required Experience/Skills for the Freelance Production/Product Development Associate:
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to meet deadline demands.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Freelance Production/Product Development Associate:
- Internship experience.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
