Our client, an industry leading real estate investment firm located in Bucks County, PA, is seeking an experienced Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to join their expanding team. 

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$160k – 195k plus 10% bonus.

Position Overview:

The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will be reporting directly into the CFO and will have a team of five direct reports. The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will manage the quarterly/annual financial reporting for a large real estate portfolio. 

Responsibilities of the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Supervise comprehensive accounting functions, including relationships with external auditor for year end close.
  • Lead the development and execution of budgeting procedures and financial forecasts, actively monitoring and reporting on deviations from set targets.
  • Ensure the production and dissemination of accurate, timely monthly financial statements, while guaranteeing compliance with all regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Conduct thorough research on complex accounting issues to maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and best practices.
  • Guide and streamline month-end and year-end closing activities, prioritizing precision and adherence to deadlines.
  • Implement robust quality control measures for all financial transactions and reporting, safeguarding the integrity of financial data.
  • Oversee the fulfillment of local, state, and federal government reporting mandates, as well as the preparation and submission of all requisite tax filings.
  • Craft and refine business processes and accounting policies to fortify internal controls, mitigating risk and promoting transparency.
  • Execute additional responsibilities under the controller’s purview as circumstances require.

Required Experience/Skills for the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • 5+ years of real estate accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • 2+ years of managing a team.
  • Advanced Excel.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Public accounting experience.
  • Experience in using Yardi.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
