Our client is a medical equipment company looking to add an HR – People Operations Specialist to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$75k – $85k

Position Overview:

The HR – People Operations Specialist serves as both a tactical and strategic partner to the VP of People Operations, providing critical support in day-to-day operations, recruitment, compliance, and HR initiatives. This role also offers executive administrative assistance to the CEO and supports various HR functions, including benefits and HRIS.

Responsibilities of the HR – People Operations Specialist: 

  • Partner with the VP of People Operations to manage daily operational activities, ensuring alignment with company culture and best practices.
  • Collaborate with employees and external immigration counsel to handle work visa sponsorship documentation, ensuring all documents are accurate and submitted promptly.
  • Oversee the complete recruitment cycle, from creating job postings to sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating with hiring managers for smooth placements.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and existing employees.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of HR processes and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and efficient.
  • Prepare clear, concise communications for company-wide distribution, including new hire announcements and company events.
  • Analyze HR data and provide insights to address operational challenges and improve departmental processes.
  • Evaluate systems and tools that align with HR goals and initiatives, recommending improvements as necessary.
  • Provide basic coaching to team leaders and members on HR policies and procedures.
  • Support the VP of People Operations with the implementation of updated employment laws and practices.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of employment records.
  • Provide executive administrative support to leadership, including creating presentations, scheduling meetings, arranging travel, processing expense reports, and other tasks as assigned.

Required Experience/Skills for the HR – People Operations Specialist: 

  • 3+ years of general HR administration experience.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, and onboarding.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the HR – People Operations Specialist: 

  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
  • Experience recruiting for medical device roles.
  • Familiarity with Paycom.
  • Immigration experience.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
