Our client is a leading global manufacturer in the flavor and fragrance industry. Our client is a world-renowned leader in the flavor and fragrance industry, dedicated to innovation, quality, and sustainability. Currently, they are looking to add an Intern, Fragrance Production Assistant (1st/2nd/3rd Shifts) to their team.

$21/hr

Position Overview:

The summer Intern, Fragrance Production Assistant does not need any industry experience! This is a summer opportunity- preferably for a college student looking for summer employment. Non-college students are also welcome to apply! This will be a very hands-on role and a good experience to learn about the production process in a highly regulated GMP environment. This role has an opening for 1st shift (7 am – 3 pm), 2nd shift (3 pm – 11 pm), and 3rd shift (11 pm – 7 am).

Responsibilities of the Intern, Fragrance Production Assistant (1st/2nd/3rd Shifts):

  • Be part of a highly regulated production team and be able to perform job duties independently once trained.
  • Use various machines and equipment to contribute to the production process including forklifts, drum lifts, pallet jacks, and stages.
  • Utilize the computer/software system in-house to process and execute tasks.
  • Use robots and machines to move heavy drums and containers.
  • Transfer materials or samples from one vessel to another.
  • Assist with cycle counting and inventory checks as needed.
  • Assist with reviewing or updating related paperwork and documentation.

Required Experience/Skills for the Intern, Fragrance Production Assistant (1st/2nd/3rd Shifts):

  • Ability to commit to the role through the end of August.
  • Ability and comfort operating a hand truck and pallet jack.
  • Ability to follow safety protocol, handle hazardous materials, and adhere to regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to use basic computer systems, knowledge of SAP a plus.
  • Ability to move heavy objects including but not limited to 55-gallon drums, but heavy lifting will be kept to a minimum as much as possible for safety reasons.
  • Ability to work in the US for any employer and pass a medical/physical pre-employment screening.
  • Ability to provide professional references of previous employers.
  • Personable and professional communication skills.

Education Requirements: 

  • Enrolled in a Technical, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s program or some college coursework completed. Ideally in a scientific or engineering field, but not required
