Client Overview:
Our client, one of the largest vertically run ophthalmology administrative services organizations in the mid-Atlantic region is seeking a talent acquisition specialist to join their fast-paced office. They are looking to add a Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr – $30/hr
Position Overview:
The Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring, and supporting company-wide recruiting efforts. The Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist is also responsible for promoting the company’s brand through recruitment initiatives and events. This role requires a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills ensuring candidates, Hiring Managers, and other stakeholders have a pleasant experience. This is a hybrid-remote position, based out of the headquarters located in New Providence, NJ.
Responsibilities of the Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist:
- Source potential candidates through various channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks), support interview scheduling and assist selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments, and in-person interviews.
- Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities.
- Counsel the candidate on benefits, salary, and work environment.
- Conduct and document employment references.
- Perform pre-employment screening – background and drug screening process
- Responsible for onboarding new hires and new hire orientation.
- Handles confidential materials, including documents and information requests.
- Administer and submit all hiring paperwork for new employees.
- Support monthly reports on key talent acquisition metrics.
- Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates and create a pipeline.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience/Skills for the Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist:
- 2+ years of experience and knowledge in talent acquisition/recruitment roles is required, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Excellent understanding of and hands-on experience with full-cycle recruitment processes using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
- Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and Microsoft Office tools.
- A keen understanding of the differences between various roles within organizations.
- Knowledge of research and sourcing skills, with minimal reliance on job postings – including the use of Boolean search techniques, extensive networking, LinkedIn, user group lists, industry-specific online professional networks, forums, and social media.
- Highly adept at proactive methods/processes for finding and attracting passive talent for crucial openings and talent pools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist:
- Previous experience in recruiting for healthcare – medical practice roles are highly preferred.
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Education Requirements:
- Certification in Healthcare Recruitment (CHCR) or professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is required.
