Salary/Hourly Rate:

$52k – $72k

Position Overview:

The firm is seeking a Billing and Collections Specialist with a strong background in legal billing and collections. This is a full-time, onsite role that requires prior experience with E3 software. The ideal Billing and Collections Specialist must be detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled at working closely with attorneys and clients to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections.

Responsibilities of the Billing and Collections Specialist:

  • Generate, review, and edit prebills and final invoices in E3 software.
  • Manage collections process and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Communicate with attorneys and clients regarding billing inquiries.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelines.
  • Process billing adjustments, write-offs, and payment applications.
  • Prepare aging reports and track collection efforts.
  • Maintain organized billing records and documentation.

Required Experience/Skills for the Billing and Collections Specialist:

  • 3+ years of legal billing and collections experience.
  • Law firm experience is required.
  • Proficiency in E3 billing software is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Billing and Collections Specialist:

  • Experience with electronic billing portals.
  • Familiarity with trust accounting and client guidelines.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
