Accounting Manager

Our client, a professional community management organization, is seeking an Accounting Manager to work out of their office in Bonita Springs, FL 

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$65k – $75k

Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager would be responsible for managing the accounting department. This role also serves as a point of contact for managers within the organization, analyze budget information and working with managers to create strategies that align with the company vision. 

Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager:

• Responsible for performing bank and account reconciliations & analysis.
• Responsible for preparation of month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger as needed.
• Audit the AR and AP department.
• Ability to explain financial statements to accounting and non accounting personnel.
• Manage the accounting department; including training, development, hiring and performance management.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

• Minimum of 3+ years of People Management Experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years of Full Cycle Accounting experience.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

• Minimum of 3+ years of Managing an accounting team of 3 or more team members.
• Minimum of 5+ years of Accounting in Property Management, Food and Beverage or Hospitality industry.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
