Salary/Hourly Rate:

$60k – $65k

Position Overview:

The Assistant Property Manager will support all operational aspects of a residential property portfolio, working closely with the Property Manager and site staff to ensure efficient property management, tenant satisfaction, and compliance with affordable housing regulations.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Property Manager:

  • Assist with tenant communications and maintain high standards for resident relations.
  • Support rent collection processes and monitor delinquencies.
  • Help coordinate unit turnovers and move-ins/move-outs.
  • Assist with marketing efforts and waiting list management.
  • Maintain property files and documentation.
  • Participate in resident meetings and staff coordination.
  • Support budget tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including recertifications.
  • Recommend improvements for operational efficiency.

Required Experience/Skills for the Assistant Property Manager:

  • 2+ years of related experience supporting property operations for LIHTC or Section 8 housing.
  • Recertification experience is required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Assistant Property Manager:

  • Familiarity with property management software.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
