A leading property management firm dedicated to providing top-tier service to property owners and tenants alike. They are now looking for an Assistant Property Manager. $29/hr – $30/hr

Position Overview:


The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for supporting the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of managing residential, commercial, or industrial properties. This role involves handling tenant relations, property maintenance, administrative tasks, and ensuring that the property is well-maintained and operating efficiently.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Property Manager:

  • Tenant Relations: Assist in addressing tenant concerns and resolving issues promptly. Facilitate tenant communications, including notices and updates. Conduct property tours for prospective tenants and explain lease terms.
  • Lease Administration: Assist in the preparation and execution of lease agreements. Ensure all lease documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Track lease expirations and coordinate renewals.
  • Rent Collection: Collect rent payments and issue receipts. Monitor rent delinquencies and follow up with tenants on late payments. Assist in the eviction process for non-paying tenants.
  • Property Maintenance: Coordinate and oversee property maintenance and repairs. Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards. Work with contractors and vendors to obtain quotes and manage service contracts.
  • Financial Management: Assist in preparing and managing the property’s budget. Monitor expenses and assist in cost-control measures. Prepare financial reports as required by the Property Manager.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate and organized property records and files. Handle incoming telephone calls, emails, and correspondence. Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and advertisements for vacant units.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Stay updated on property management laws and industry best practices. Assist in implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Required Experience/Skills for the Assistant Property Manager: 

  • Recertification/occupancy experience.
  • LIHTC annual recert.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Assistant Property Manager:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
