Our client is a leading company in Teaneck, NJ, specializing in providing top-tier products and services within their industry. With a reputation for excellence and a commitment to continuous improvement, they are looking to add an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to their team to assist with various accounting functions.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$22/hr – $25/hr

Position Overview:

The Accounting Clerk will support the Finance department by maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. This role requires someone detail-oriented, able to multitask, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate for the Accounting Clerk role will have strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk:

  • Assist with processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Support in preparing financial reports and statements as needed.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to accounting functions, such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
  • Help prepare for audits by gathering necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Clerk:

  • Proven experience in accounting, finance, or a related role with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
  • Ability to process large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
