Currently, they are looking to expand their team by hiring an Accounting Manager.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$55/hr – $60/hr

Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining robust internal controls. This position will manage and develop a team of accountants, coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, and support the budgeting and forecasting activities.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

  • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements following GAAP or relevant accounting standards.
  • Month-End and Year-End Close: Oversee and coordinate the closing process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts, working closely with other departments to gather necessary information and insights.
  • Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, preparing necessary documentation and ensuring the timely completion of audits.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards, including tax filings and statutory reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and support to management for strategic decision-making, including cost control and profitability analysis.
  • Special Projects: Participate in or lead special projects as needed, such as system implementations or policy updates.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

  • Must have 5+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
