Position Overview:
Responsibilities of the Assistant Merchandiser:
- Collaborate with Merchandisers to assist in the development and execution of product assortments and seasonal line plans.
- Manage and update product data, ensuring accuracy across internal systems, line sheets, and presentation tools.
- Conduct competitive market research and trend analysis to support merchandising strategies.
- Assist in the preparation of sales and inventory reports, using data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Coordinate sample management, including tracking, distribution, and maintenance of sample inventory.
- Communicate with vendors, production teams, and other internal departments to track orders, timelines, and delivery schedules.
- Support in-store merchandising initiatives, including planning and visual execution.
- Attend meetings and presentations, taking notes and following up on action items as needed.
Qualifications of the Assistant Merchandiser:
- 1–2 years of experience in merchandising or a similar role, preferably in the fashion industry.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and other data management tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a polished and professional demeanor.
- Passion for fashion and a keen understanding of industry trends and consumer behavior.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
