Our client is a bioprocess manufacturing/medical products and equipment industry, and they are looking to add a Cleanroom Laboratory Technician to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$20/hr – $22/hr DOE

Position Overview:

The Cleanroom Lab Technician will be working in a regulated cleanroom environment while wearing PPE including scrubs, mask, protective eyewear, gloves, shoe covers, and similar. The Cleanroom Lab Technician will be responsible for assembling products and measuring parts according to specifications, blueprints, mechanical drawings, or work instructions. The schedule is from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities of the Cleanroom Laboratory Technician: 

  • Maintain a sterile environment by cleaning and performing job duties according to CGMP guidelines for cleanroom procedures.
  • Measure, cut, position, and align tubing and small components for assembly.
  • Use hand tools, including cable guns, tubing spreaders, bag sealers, tubing cutters, and other equipment to assemble parts accurately and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, assembly drawings, blueprints, and work instructions, to identify product specifications.
  • Determine the sequence of assembly.
  • Assemble products or components according to company standards and requirements.
  • Complete the required forms associated with each lot/batch.
  • Inspect and clean components and finished assemblies.
  • Report any issues, defects, or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Meet daily production targets and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet production goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience/Skills for the Cleanroom Laboratory Technician:

  • Any related experience working in a highly regulated, clean, or sanitized room.
  • Experience following safety procedures and company policies.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and bill of materials (BoMs).
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods, regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Cleanroom Laboratory Technician:

  • Listens to direction and obtains clarification.
  • Keen eye for detail and manual dexterity.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to write clearly and informatively to ensure accurate records, including batch and lot numbers.
  • Experience working in a GMP or ISO environment is a plus

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma with a minimum of six months related experience, or
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Science-related field, or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
