Financial Controller

Our client is a privately held professional services firm and is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join their team and contribute to their continued success. This role is perfect for someone at a lower level looking for the next step. CPA and public accounting experience is required for this role.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$150k – $175k

Position Overview:

The Financial Controller will oversee financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. It will work closely with the executive team to provide strategic financial insights, maintain financial stability, and drive the company’s growth.

Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:

• The Financial Controller will maintain ownership of the division’s entire P&L.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis.
• The Financial Controller will implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• The Financial Controller will conduct a thorough financial analysis to provide insights into the company’s performance and profitability.
• Develop key financial metrics and KPIs to support data-driven decision-making.
• The Financial Controller will identify trends, opportunities, and risks to guide strategic financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and financial reporting standards.
• The Financial Controller will prepare and file accurate tax returns and financial reports promptly.
• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and reviews.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze cash flow projections and report variances to senior management.

Required Experience/Skills for the Financial Controller:

• Experience working with a global company.
• Public accounting experience is required.
• CPA is required.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
