Our client, a real estate company, is looking for their next HR Generalist to join the team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$80k – $85k

Position Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our client’s Human Resources team. This is a full-time position for someone with 5 years of experience in human resources.

Responsibilities of the HR Generalist:

  • Process FMLA and LOA claims.
  • Present to new hire onboarding classes.
  • Manage correspondence with candidates and update candidate status through the hiring process.
  • Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews.
  • Onboard new hires, including collecting employee personal data and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure employee records are up to date for benefits plan participation, personnel changes such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Monthly and quarterly personnel reporting.
  • Assist Managers with a biannual performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
  • Stay abreast of changes in the laws, identify policy gaps, and develop, maintain, and update employee policy as needed.
  • Monitor HR Mailbox for SHRM notices and other entities related to compliance.
  • Consult with legal counsel to ensure that the policy complies with federal and state law.
  • Advise management in the resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policy, procedure, and programs.
  • Administer benefit programs such as life, health, dental, vision, disability insurance plans, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, leaves of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Investigate workman’s compensation claims and prepare reports for insurance carriers.
  • Update daily FSA reconciliation worksheet and save reports.

Qualifications for the HR Generalist:

  • 3 – 5 years of HR experience.
  • Experience with FMLA and Leaves of Absence.
  • Experience with ADP.
  • Spanish is a PLUS.
  • Union experience is a PLUS.
  • Strong computer skills are a must.
  • Intermediate in Excel and Word.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
