Our client, a real estate company, is looking for their next HR Generalist to join the team!
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$80k – $85k
Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our client’s Human Resources team. This is a full-time position for someone with 5 years of experience in human resources.
Responsibilities of the HR Generalist:
- Process FMLA and LOA claims.
- Present to new hire onboarding classes.
- Manage correspondence with candidates and update candidate status through the hiring process.
- Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews.
- Onboard new hires, including collecting employee personal data and compliance documentation.
- Ensure employee records are up to date for benefits plan participation, personnel changes such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Monthly and quarterly personnel reporting.
- Assist Managers with a biannual performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
- Stay abreast of changes in the laws, identify policy gaps, and develop, maintain, and update employee policy as needed.
- Monitor HR Mailbox for SHRM notices and other entities related to compliance.
- Consult with legal counsel to ensure that the policy complies with federal and state law.
- Advise management in the resolution of employee relations issues.
- Respond to inquiries regarding policy, procedure, and programs.
- Administer benefit programs such as life, health, dental, vision, disability insurance plans, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, leaves of absence, and employee assistance.
- Investigate workman’s compensation claims and prepare reports for insurance carriers.
- Update daily FSA reconciliation worksheet and save reports.
Qualifications for the HR Generalist:
- 3 – 5 years of HR experience.
- Experience with FMLA and Leaves of Absence.
- Experience with ADP.
- Spanish is a PLUS.
- Union experience is a PLUS.
- Strong computer skills are a must.
- Intermediate in Excel and Word.

- Bachelor’s degree is required.
