Our client, a mission-driven healthcare technology company transforming access to mental health services across the U.S., is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Insurance Operations Associate to support a rapidly growing network of providers.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$22/hr

Position Overview:

The Insurance Operations role is essential to helping providers get credentialed with insurance companies – a critical step in expanding access to affordable mental healthcare. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, tech-savvy, and capable of navigating complex platforms with speed and accuracy. This is a long-term, open-ended temporary opportunity for someone excited to work in a mission-driven space and thrive in a detail-heavy administrative role. This Insurance Operations Associate role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving process-based challenges, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about playing a vital role in expanding access to care. If you’re organized, communicative, and self-motivated, this Insurance Operations Associate opportunity offers the chance to make an immediate and meaningful impact. The schedule is full-time from Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm EST.

Responsibilities of the Insurance Operations Associate:

  • Navigating various platforms to collect and input provider credentialing information.
  • Submitting provider applications to insurance companies and tracking progress in Google Sheets.
  • Printing and preparing mail packets with the necessary documents for provider credentialing.
  • Logging progress, issues, and updates clearly and consistently for team visibility.
  • Communicating regularly with the internal team to surface delays or blockers in the credentialing process.

Required Experience/Skills for the Insurance Operations Associate:

  • Healthcare administration or credentialing experience preferred, but not required for strong candidates.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
  • Extremely attentive to detail and organized in documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and learn new systems quickly.
  • Must be available to work onsite at the NYC office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Insurance Operations Associate:

  • Experience in healthcare or insurance benefits is a plus.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
