Our client is a global company looking to add a Logistics Specialist to their team. This role will sit in their Jersey City office.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$75k – $85k
Position Overview:
The Logistics Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the supply chain process, ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers. You will collaborate with various departments to coordinate logistics activities, maintain inventory accuracy, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities of the Logistics Specialist:
- The Logistics Specialist will coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics process, including procurement, transportation, and warehousing.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform regular audits, and implement strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.
- The Logistics Specialist will Develop and execute transportation plans to ensure timely delivery of products while minimizing shipping costs.
- Communicate and collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and other partners to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.
- The Logistics Specialist will Analyze logistics data to identify trends, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop reports to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies related to logistics and transportation.
- The Logistics Specialist will Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Experience/Skills for the Logistics Specialist:
- Proven experience in logistics or supply chain roles.
- Strong understanding of logistics software and systems (e.g., ERP, TMS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
