Our client is an established food company that manufactures a variety of products from chips and pizza, to sliced meats and frozen items. They are looking to add a Maintenance Manager – 2nd Shift to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$100k – $110k (Based on relevant experience)

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Manager-2nd shift is responsible for preventative and routine maintenance tasks in the food manufacturing plant. The Maintenance Manager-2nd shift should be available for overtime, on-call emergencies, and weekend work as required.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager – 2nd Shift:

  • Perform machine maintenance, troubleshoot and disassemble equipment, and set up for daily production operations.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance through regular daily and weekly machine inspections.
  • Develop and manage budgets for plant maintenance, projects, and both major and minor line improvements.
  • Schedule, supervise, and direct the work of maintenance staff to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Evaluate staff performance and collaborate with the Plant Manager to address personnel-related matters.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications for the Maintenance Manager – 2nd Shift:

  • 5 – 7 years of experience in food production or facility maintenance, including 3+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical expertise, including proficiency in high and low-voltage systems and power tools.
  • Hands-on knowledge of industrial equipment such as Weber slicers, Multivac sealers, flow wrappers, and labelers.
  • Skilled in interpreting engineering schematics (e.g., electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic; German schematics preferred).
  • Proven ability to develop, train, and mentor maintenance teams effectively.
  • Strong technical communication and computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Education Requirements:

  • College degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
