Salary/Hourly Rate:

$85-90k plus Bonus

Position Overview:

The Payroll Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a team for processing payroll, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate payroll records. The ideal candidate will have  a leadership background in payroll and have the ability to lead a proactive, positive and accurate team of processors.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Supervisor: 

  • Leading a team of payroll processors.
  • Handling the complexities of payroll processes.
  • Processing for multi-states and locations.
  • Working Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, formulas & Paylocity.
  • Processing exempt & non-exempt employees, union & non-union, commission & incentives.
  • Hiring and training of the payroll team.
  • Employee engagement, consulting on issues and rewarding for a job accomplished successfully.

Qualifications of the Payroll Supervisor:

  • Prior payroll leadership role.
  • 3+ years experience of payroll processing.
  • Record keeping.
  • Taking charge of reporting and problem resolution.
  • System management and auditing.
  • Multi-state/multi-site background.
  • Processing exempt, non-exempt, union, non-union, commission.
  • Advanced Excel & Paylocity.
  • Strong understanding of payroll wage and hour laws, as well as federal, state, and local tax laws.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree a plus.
