Our client is a preventative care membership-based medicine, and they are now looking for a Physician Assistant – Advanced Care Provider to join their team.

Position Overview:


The Physician Assistant – Advanced Care Provider is to join their growing Internal Medicine teams and to work closely with their Chief Medical Officers. The ideal candidates will be dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care while bringing an innovative and forward-thinking mindset to their practice. Strong expertise in internal medicine is essential, along with prior experience in urgent care, primary care, or family medicine. Candidates should feel confident treating adult patients and thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment focused on excellence in care.

Responsibilities for Physician Assistant – Advanced Care Provider: 

  • Patient Assessment and Diagnosis: Physician Assistants partner with CMOs to perform comprehensive health assessments. Diagnose acute and chronic conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Treatment and Management: Physician Assistants collaborate with CMOs to provide primary and specialty care services (prescribing medication, interpreting diagnostic tests, manage chronic conditions etc).
  • Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: Physician Assistants educate families and patients about strategies and preventative measures. Emphasis preventative care.
  • Collaborative Care: Physician Assistants collaborate with physicians, nurses and others and refer patients to appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Clinical Care: Physician Assistants perform skills such as phlebotomy, IV insertion, EKG etc.
  • Documentation and Recordkeeping: Physician Assistants maintain accurate up to date medical records.

Required Experience/Skills for Physician Assistant – Advanced Care Provider: 

  • Work 4 days a week, with 10 hours a day.
  • Availability to work from Wednesday to Saturday.
  • Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, or Family Medicine preferred.
  • Highly skilled in phlebotomy, EKG, and preventive care.
  • Committed to providing personalized care and spending adequate time with patients.
  • Familiar with hypertension, UTI, and IV phlebotomy treatments.

Preferred Experience/Skills for Physician Assistant – Advanced Care Provider: 

  • Minimum of 4 years of traditional internal medicine.
  • Minimum of 3 years in traditional urgent care.
  • Minimum of 4 years in emergency room (hospital setting).
  • 4 – 10 years in preventative healthcare (hospital per diem).
  • Minimum of 4 years as a Physician Assistant.

Education Requirements: 

  • Current NYS Licensed PA.
  • 2+ years as a practicing PA-C.
  • BLS + ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
