Atrium is partnering with a private real estate and development company in Orlando who is seeking a Property Accounting Manager to manage their property accounting team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$135k + bonus
Position Overview:
As the Property Accounting Manager, you will oversee all financial aspects of the property management operations. The Property Accounting Manager must have extensive experience in accounting, preferably in the property management or real estate industry, and a proven track record of leadership and financial management.
Responsibilities of the Property Accounting Manager:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple properties.
- Develop and monitor property budgets and forecasts .
- Manage the annual audit process and work with external auditors on ensure accurate reporting.
- Implement and monitor internal controls.
- Maintain detailed procedures and SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Lead a team of property accountants and implement new accounting systems to enhance efficiencies.
- Partner with third parties and offshored services.
Required Experience/Skills for the Property Accounting Manager:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in property management and real estate.
- Experience with property accounting systems.-
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent managerial skills and ability to develop and grow a team.
- Experience in multi-entity and inter-company environment.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
