Our client is an innovative personal care manufacturer. They are looking to add a Quality Engineer to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$80k – $110k Depending on level of experience.
Position Overview:
The Quality Engineer ensures production quality meets customer needs by improving processes, solving issues, implementing CAPA, and ensuring compliance with standards while driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:
- Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving to prevent quality issues.
- Investigate technical problems and implement CAPA for compliance and quality.
- Perform supplier audits and inspections to ensure standards are met.
- Represent the Quality team in meetings to address issues and plan work.
- Coordinate teams to resolve deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
- Identify and resolve quality problems in production and labs.
- Develop quality metrics and drive improvements using data analysis.
- Update SOPs, conduct audits, and provide quality training.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and environmental standards.
- Participate in required safety and GMP training.
Qualifications for the Quality Engineer:
- 3 – 5 years of experience in cosmetics or pharmaceuticals with a Bachelor’s degree, or 1 – 2 years with a Master’s degree.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is a plus.
- Solid understanding of quality systems (ISO 9001, GMP, FDA regulations), personal care standards, and regulatory compliance.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
