Quality Engineer

Our client is an innovative personal care manufacturer. They are looking to add a Quality Engineer to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$80k – $110k Depending on level of experience.

Position Overview:

The Quality Engineer ensures production quality meets customer needs by improving processes, solving issues, implementing CAPA, and ensuring compliance with standards while driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:

• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving to prevent quality issues.
• Investigate technical problems and implement CAPA for compliance and quality.
• Perform supplier audits and inspections to ensure standards are met.
• Represent the Quality team in meetings to address issues and plan work.
• Coordinate teams to resolve deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
• Identify and resolve quality problems in production and labs.
• Develop quality metrics and drive improvements using data analysis.
• Update SOPs, conduct audits, and provide quality training.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and environmental standards.
• Participate in required safety and GMP training.

Qualifications for the Quality Engineer:

• 3 – 5 years of experience in cosmetics or pharmaceuticals with a Bachelor’s degree, or 1 – 2 years with a Master’s degree.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is a plus.
• Solid understanding of quality systems (ISO 9001, GMP, FDA regulations), personal care standards, and regulatory compliance.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
