Client Overview:
Our client is a well-established financial services branch located in Garden City, NY, supporting multiple Financial Advisors and clients. They pride themselves on professionalism, teamwork, and delivering excellent client service. Our client is seeking a full-time, onsite Sales Assistant for a temporary role to cover an associate on leave.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr
Position Overview:
This Sales Assistant will provide administrative support to Financial Advisors and act as the front desk Receptionist. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in financial services and strong administrative skills. The work schedule is 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM ET, Monday through Friday. Our client is looking for local candidates only (Long Island or Queens preferred. The commute should be no more than 30 – 45 minutes).
Responsibilities of the Sales Assistant:
- Provide administrative support to 3 Financial Advisors, including one remote Financial Advisor.
- Assist with client account matters, including research, documentation follow-up, and money movement requests.
- Process expense reports and manage advisor calendars.
- Schedule appointments and travel arrangements.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
- Act as branch receptionist: greet visitors, escort clients, answer and transfer calls, and take messages.
Required Experience/Skills for the Sales Assistant:
- Experience in the Broker-Dealer industry is required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent administrative support experience.
- Experience with calendar management, travel planning, scheduling, office supply ordering, and expense reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, Zoom, and Word.
- Comfortable working in a front desk/receptionist role.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Sales Assistant:
- Previous experience in the financial services industry.
- Candidates with securities licenses (Series 7, 63/65/66) or interest in becoming licensed are preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree or at least 3 years of corporate experience is required.
