Atrium is partnering with a large restaurant and hospitality company headquartered in Orlando, FL. Our client has both US and international locations and continues growing and expanding its footprint. They are now looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their team!
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$110k – $120k
Position Overview:
The Senior Corporate Accountant should have a strong background in corporate or public accounting and will be responsible for managing and overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities of the Senior Corporate Accountant:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of the annual budget and periodic forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Act as the primary point of contact during internal and external audits. Prepare necessary documentation and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices.
- Create accounting and finance models to forecast financial results.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
- Supervise staff accountants by reviewing and approving their work.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Corporate Accountant:
- Minimum of 3-4 years of public accounting, consulting, auditing, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- CPA license or in process.
- Master’s degree in Accounting preferred.
