Our nationwide client focuses on commercial real estate and related businesses strategies across its clients. They are a great place to work and a long-standing organization in the Boston Market and are seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$90k – $115k plus bonus

Position Overview:

The Senior Technical Accountant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing technical accounting guidance for the team.

Responsibilities of the Senior Technical Accountant:

  • Research and document complex accounting issues. 
  • Analyze new and proposed accounting standards, assessing their potential impact on financial reporting and compliance. 
  • Support financial reporting as the Senior Technical Accountant by researching SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and aligning disclosures with industry standards.  
  • Evaluate accounting practices across peer companies to ensure consistency and identify best practices in real estate and financial services.   
  • Contribute to special projects, process automation initiatives, and SOX 404 compliance, collaborating with leadership and external partners.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Technical Accountant:

  • 3+ years of public accounting experience is required.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem-solve. 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, or related field.
  • CPA is required.
