Sterile Assembly Specialist

Our client specializes in single-use systems and components for the pharmaceutical and biotech sector specializing in bottle systems, tube set solutions, mixing and stirring solutions, and innovative transition solutions. They are looking for a Sterile Assembly Specialist to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$20-22/hr DOE

Position Overview:

The Sterile Assembly Specialist is tasked with the assembly of products and precise measurement of parts, adhering to specifications provided by blueprints, mechanical drawings, or work instructions. This role requires the Employee to operate within an ISO-regulated clean room environment while donning Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as scrubs, bunny suits, masks, protective eyewear, gloves, and shoe covers.

Responsibilities of the Sterile Assembly Specialist:

• Adhere to CGMP guidelines for proper garbing and cleaning procedures in the cleanroom.
• Execute tasks with a focus on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
• Measure, cut, position, and align tubing and small components using hand tools such as cable guns, tubing spreaders, bag sealers, and tubing cutters, employing techniques for accuracy and efficiency.
• Interpret technical documents, including diagrams, assembly drawings, blueprints, and work instructions, to identify product specifications for assembly. Determine the correct assembly sequence and follow company standards to assemble products or components.
• Complete and submit all necessary forms related to each lot or batch.
• Inspect and clean components and finished assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
• Report any issues, defects, or malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
• Meet daily production targets and maintain high levels of productivity.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies consistently.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and achieve production goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications of the Sterile Assembly Specialist:

• Assembling experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and bill of materials (BoMs).
• Demonstrate strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, including clear written and verbal correspondence.
• Physical stamina required for prolonged standing, lifting (up to 40 pounds), and moving (up to 20 pounds) as needed.

Education Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
• Minimum of six months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
