Our client is a well-established home furnishings company that is well-known in the market and leading in innovation and high-quality home goods. They are looking to add a Store Manager to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$95k – $100k Depending on experience

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Store Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a high-performing team, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. The Store Manager will be responsible for driving sales, managing budgets, maintaining inventory, and fostering a positive workplace culture in a fast-paced retail environment in New York City.

Responsibilities of the Store Manager:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor a motivated team of associates to meet sales and operational goals. Set performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations to ensure staff productivity and morale. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that reflects company values.
  • Sales and Customer Experience: Develop and implement strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets. Monitor customer feedback and address concerns to ensure customer satisfaction. Promote a customer-first environment by leading by example in service excellence.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and adherence to safety standards. Maintain accurate inventory levels and manage stock replenishment. Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Financial Performance: Analyze sales data, prepare reports, and develop action plans to address trends. Manage store budgets, including labor, supplies, and operational expenses. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Visual Merchandising and Marketing: Ensure the store is visually appealing and aligns with brand standards. Collaborate with Marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns effectively.

Qualifications for the Store Manager:

  • Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a similar leadership role, preferably in a retail setting.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field, is preferred.
