Client Overview:
Our client is, a data & analytics entity, provides clients with unbiased OTC content and proprietary data, in-depth insights across price discovery, risk management, benchmark and indices, and pre and post-trade analytics. Its post-trade solutions offering helps market participants control their counterparty and regulatory risks through a growing range of tools that manage balance-sheet exposure, as well as compression and optimization services. Our client is looking to add a Systems Project Manager to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$75/hr – $100/hr
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Systems Project Manager to lead the successful implementation of a new Workday ERP system, working in close collaboration with an external implementation partner. Please note this is a 12-month contract. In this role as the Systems Project Manager, you will take full ownership of project direction, coordination, implementation, control, and completion, ensuring alignment with PMO guidelines, department strategy, and business commitments. While your primary focus will be the Workday ERP implementation, you may also provide support to the Head of Programme Management on additional projects spanning multiple disciplines, including Risk & Market Data, Technical, Governance, and Regulatory initiatives. This is a hands-on role that requires strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and strong execution skills to drive the project to success.
Responsibilities of the Systems Project Manager:
- Oversee the Workday ERP implementation project from start to finish, making sure it is completed on schedule, within budget, and within scope.
- Create, update, and oversee comprehensive project plans, keeping account of dependencies and milestones.
- Make sure that the project methodology and governance criteria of TP ICAP are followed, promoting transparent and accountable project execution.
- Proactively identify and mitigate obstacles by managing project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Regularly update important stakeholders on the status of the project, elevating urgent problems as needed.
- Manage stakeholder involvement, making sure that the IT and business teams have the same expectations.
- Keep an eye on and manage scope creep to make sure project goals are met.
- Own all project records, such as governance reports, decision registers, and RAID logs.
- Show excellent time management and prioritization abilities by juggling several projects at once.
- Work together with IT representatives, Project teams, and business SMEs to convert business needs into concrete project deliverables.
Required Experience/Skills for the Systems Project Manager:
- Proven experience in leading full-cycle Workday ERP implementations, covering all modules.
- Demonstrated background in project management methodologies, ideally AGILE or PRINCE2 certification.
- Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate project teams, driving engagement and accountability.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Experience in risk management and change management within complex organizations.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Systems Project Manager:
- Familiarity with Confluence & JIRA is advantageous.
- Knowledge of financial markets and market data is a plus.
- Experience managing software delivery projects with an understanding of associated technologies.
