Our client is a progressive independent school dedicated to fostering intellectual curiosity, creativity, and personal growth in students from early childhood through middle school. They are looking to add a Temp-To-Perm Receptionist to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$20/hr
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Temp-To-Perm Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate for the Temp-To-Perm Receptionist role will have excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic school environment. The schedule is from 9 am to 5 pm, with a half-hour for lunch and occasional evenings for after-school events.
Responsibilities of the Temp-To-Perm Receptionist:
- Greet and assist visitors, students, and staff in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and inquiries efficiently.
- Maintain school records, schedules, and databases with accuracy.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and data entry.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Support event planning and logistics as needed.
- Ensure the front desk and reception area are organized and presentable at all times.
Required Experience/Skills for the Temp-To-Perm Receptionist:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace software.
- Fluent in using a PCAble to quickly learn new software.
- Able to work collaboratively and independently.
- Able to identify and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Flexible in work assignments.
- Discretion and respect for professional boundaries.
- Two years of experience in an administrative role.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma is required.
- Associate’s degree is preferred.
